At Furever ("Furever.fit," "we," "us," or "our"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Furever mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Furever, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information to provide and improve the Service:

Personal Information

Name, email address, phone number, and profile photo when you create an account.

Pet Data

Pet names, breeds, species, dates of birth, health records, vaccination history, weight logs, body condition scores, medical documents, and photos you upload or capture within the app.

Usage Data

Information about how you interact with the app, including features used, session duration, device type, operating system, app version, and crash reports.

Location Data

With your permission, we may collect approximate location data to power features such as nearby veterinary clinics, pet stores, and pet-friendly venues.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Furever app and its features.
  • Power AI-driven health analysis, including body condition scoring, longevity insights, symptom checks, and document processing.
  • Personalize your experience by tailoring content, recommendations, and reminders to your pets' profiles.
  • Send you important notifications, including vaccination reminders, health alerts, and service updates.
  • Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve app performance and develop new features.
  • Respond to your support requests and communicate with you about the Service.

3. AI & Third-Party Services

Furever uses artificial intelligence to provide health insights and analysis for your pets. Specifically:

  • We use Anthropic's Claude AI to power features such as health analysis, veterinary chat assistance, document processing, and body condition scoring.
  • When you use AI-powered features, relevant pet data (such as photos, health records, and symptoms) may be sent to Anthropic's servers for processing.
  • AI-generated insights are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional veterinary care. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical decisions regarding your pet.

4. Data Storage & Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it:

  • Your data is stored securely on Supabase cloud infrastructure.
  • All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest.
  • Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel and systems only.
  • While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or pet data to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • AI Service Providers: Pet data is shared with Anthropic for AI-powered analysis and insights, subject to their data processing agreements.
  • Apple: Subscription and payment information is processed through the Apple App Store. We do not directly collect or store your payment details.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access & Update: You can access and update your personal information and pet profiles directly within the app at any time.
  • Data Export: You may request a copy of your data by contacting us.
  • Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data through the app settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw consent for optional data collection (such as location data) at any time through your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Furever is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or by email. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
